DIVERSIFICATION OF TRAINING PROGRAMMES AT KENYA FORESTRY COLLEGE
Kenya Forestry College (KFC) since its inceptions in 1957 has mainly been training forestry courses at both Certificate and Diploma levels. The Certificate course has been lasting 2 years while Diploma course 1 year after successful completion of the 2 years Certificate course. We have now introduced a direct entry into Diploma in Forestry course lasting 2 years and the entry Grade is KCSE C– (minus) while the Certificate in Forestry course will now take 1 year with an entry Grade of KCSE D (plain).
Other than the above mentioned programmes; as a result of changing market demands, the KFC has diversified its training programmes to include the courses shown below;

The intake for long courses programmes is January and September every year while the short courses are continuous as long as the class threshold has been achieved.
KFC is registered as a Technical and Vocational College in accordance with the TVET Act, 2013 Section 20 (1) and is also a registered member of Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
Our graduates are well trained and are able to get employment opportunities in government, private sector as well as engaging in self-employment ventures.
